The
Man Christ Jesus
Concerning his Son Jesus Christ our Lord,
which was made of the seed of David according to the flesh; And declared to be the Son of
God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the
dead:(Romans 1:3,4)
But when the fullness of the time was come,
God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law,(Galatians 4:4)
And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among
us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of
grace and truth. (John 1:14)
Since the children are partakers of flesh
and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might
destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; And deliver them who through
fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage. For verily he took not on him
the nature of angels; but he took on him the seed of Abraham. Therefore he had to be made
like his brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things
pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people. For in that he
himself has suffered being tempted, he is able to help them that are tempted. (Hebrews
2:14-18)
This is he of whom I said, After me comes a
man which is preferred before me: for he was before me. (John 1:30)
And to our beloved Apphia, and Archippus our
fellow soldier, and to the church in your house: Grace to you, and peace, from God our
Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. I thank my God, making mention of you always in my
prayers, Hearing of your love and faith, which you have toward the Lord Jesus, and toward
all saints; That the communication of your faith may become effectual by the acknowledging
of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus.
For we have great joy and consolation in
your love, because the bowels of the saints are refreshed by you, brother. Therefore,
though I might be much bold in Christ to command you that which is fitting, (Philemon
1:2-8)
Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into
the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:
But not as the offense, so also is the free gift. For if through the offense of one many
be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus
Christ, has abounded to many. (Romans 5:12,15)
For both he that sanctifies and they who are
sanctified are all of one: for which cause he is not ashamed to call them
brethren,(Hebrews 2:11)
For what the law could not do, in that it
was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and
for sin, condemned sin in the flesh: (Romans 8:3)
What is man, that you are mindful of him?
and the son of man, that you visit him? For you have made him a little lower than the
angels, and have crowned him with glory and honor. You made him to have dominion over the
works of your hands; you have put all things under his feet: (Psalms 8:4-6)
But we see Jesus, who was made a little
lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honor; that he by
the grace of God should taste death for every man. (Hebrews 2:9)
For since by man came death, by man came
also the resurrection of the dead. (1 Corinthians 15:21)
For there is one God, and one mediator
between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;(1 Timothy 2:5)
