Why not put all the chips on the table Ion. Do you deny the Parousia (e.g. the inviisible presence of Jesus) for a physical one on earth? Do you now see Jesus and the Church ruling on earth from Jerusalem? How do you see the reign?

I have never seen any scriptural support that the Parousia has already occured, & have never hidden my belief as such.

When we read the three gospel accounts of the Olivet Discourse, & take time to assimilate all the verses, including the latter ones, it then becomes obvious that the earlier section of this discourse must happen long before the Parousia. Hence the true meaning of Parousia, read in it's sentence structure shows that it means "coming" & not "present" in this context.

Many things describes by the Lord, occured or began to occur during the first century, history proves this, no interpritation needed for this.

The point of this forum as I understand it is primarily to provide a witness to the Divine Plan of the Ages.  This is a Bible Student forum.  Some recognize it as Truth, others do not.  So be it.

The discourse on the Mount of Olives does cover more than just the Parousia.  That doesn't change the meaning of the word parousia.  The presence of the Lord is as the sunrise (Matt. 24:27), indicating that it is a not a sudden occurance.

Your statements make me wonder if you have really examined Bro. Russell's explanation of the Parousia.  But, maybe you have examined it thoroughly, and still have issues with the explanation.  Please feel free to lay out what you think the scriptural proofs for your position are and we can discuss each point - if you wish.  I'm sure others would be interested in the discussion as well.

Yes, as time permits, I'll put this together & post it. The more I look into the topic of the Parousia, the more I'm convinced it is yet future but imminent, particularly when you do a word study of the relevant Greek text involved.

I have done an open minded look at what Bro Russell said on the topic, & don't see that this is conclusive. I am prepared to change any of my views if they are wrong by the scriptures, as I have been doing during the last two years or so.

When I get it together, I'll start a new thread.
