To Dupin;

Could you print out Rev. 20:5 from both of your translations? I could only get it in the language, not English.

Thanks

Okay:

I'll see the Coptic letters on my computer, you may see their English equivalent as formatted for the type font used by Mr. Wells when I obtained my online copies.

Sahidic for Revelation 20:5:

pkeseph de nnetmoout mpouwnH SantouJwk ebol nCi tSo nrompe. tai te tSorp nanastasis.

"And the rest of the dead did not live until the end of [a] thousand years.  This is the first resurrection."

Bohairic:

ouoH psepi nnireFmwout mpouwnQ SatouJwk ebol nJepiSo
nrompi qai te Tanastasis nHouiT.

"And the rest of the dead did not live until the end of [a] thousand years."

revelation is missing from the Gothic, the Vestus Latin and the early Aramaic manuscripts since all with the exception of the Gothic are just gospels.

Thank you Dupin for that new light. I have a feeling alot of Your BS friends will be standfasters and refuse the obvious that it was not spurious.  I believe CTR with this info would have passed it along as new more accurate understanding.  Do you think he would have?

Vol VI in forward,"We call attention to the fact that since this Volume was written the light has grown still clearer respecting God's great Covenants."   "GROWN CLEARER"  When something grows it changes as to how it looks to us.  And being more clear harmonizes with Pro 4:18, where is Vol II, page 20 Ctr says,"It is the privilege only of this class to walk in the pathway that shines more and more-to see not only the present unfoldings of God's plan, but also things to come."
page 21,"and have walked in increasing light; and the light will continue to increase beyond the present-"unto the perfect day." "It is one continuous path,and the one continuuous increasing light is the Divine Record, illuminating as it becomes due."

Oops!

Sorry, I left out the rest of the verse for the Boihairic.  it reads like the Sahidic, "this is the first resurrection."

I find this site very encouraging. We're all just groping until that which complete arrives, whether  our hope is heaven, or earth. God bless.

God blesses those who are humble, for they will inherit the whole earth. (Matt. 5:5) NLT

TO EX;

ASV  1 Sam "Jehovah killeth, and maketh alive; He bringeth down to Sheol, and bringeth up." "Nay my sons:for it is no good report that I hear : ye make Jehovah's people transgress. If one man sin against another, God shall judge him; but if a man sin against Jehovah who shall entreat for him? Not withstanding, they hearkened not unto the voice of their father, because Jehovah was minded to slay them."  1 Sam 4:12,"and the two sons of Eli, Hophni and Phinehas, were slain."

Couple questions EX.  Who did the Pastor say will entreat for those two sons?  And what does Hannah and Jesus mother have in common?  Have to agree with Dupin this ASV is good.
